Look at how journalists embarrassed RAILA ODINGA on Wednesday's MCA meeting - He does not buy lunch!

Former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, was on Wednesday afternoon embarrassed badly after journalists walked out of his meeting in protest.

The incident happened at Gracia Gardens in Nairobi where he was scheduled to brief ODM MCAs over the progress of the referendum.

Journalists who had turned at the event as early as 11.00 am waited for hours before Raila Odinga arrived at the venue.

The journalists at first demanded that Raila Odinga addresses them before the MCAs saying they were hungry and CORD leaders do not offer them lunch.

When Raila Odinga refused to address them, they protested and walked out of his meeting in protest.

Efforts to convince them to cover the meeting were fruitless but a few went back.
Meanwhile, CORD coalition has postponed the re-launch of its Okoa Kenya campaign planned for this Sunday to next month.

Go to hell with your evidence, we’ll proceed without it - EACC tells RAILA ODINGA’s CORD

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) has told former Prime Minister Raila Odinga’s Coalition for Reforms And Democracy (CORD) to go to hell with its so called ‘evidence’ with regard to the 134-acres of disputed Karen Land, which the Opposition alleged, was grabbed by powerful Jubilee leaders led by Deputy President, William Ruto.

Speaking yesterday, EACC Spokesman Yassim Aila noted that their investigations into the alleged land grabbing in Karen will go on with or without CORD’s evidence.

“The commission’s investigation is proceeding and we were not relying on Raila Odinga’s CORD evidence and dossier to jumpstart inquiries. If they have useful information, let them bring it to boost what we already have and if they don’t want to share the information, it is well and good
because we don’t depend on them in this investigation,” said Aila.

The EACC was reacting to Wednesday’s incident in which CORD legislators James Orengo, Johnston Muthama and Boni Khalwale snubbed the commission for the second time refusing to produce the evidence they have on the grabbed Karen land.

World abandons RAILA, pours praises on UHURU - Look what BAN KI-MOON & World Bank said

Barely two weeks after United Nations (UN) used former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to observe elections on its behalf in Mozambique, the world
seems to have abandoned him and jumped on President Uhuru Kenyatta’s side.

This was evident on Wednesday following a high powered meeting between President Kenyatta with UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon, and World Bank President, Jim Yong Kim, together with other development partners at State House.

Addressing a joint Press Conference, the world leaders poured praises on President Uhuru Kenyatta and his leadership saying he is the best thing that ever happened to Kenya and Africa.

Ban Ki-moon commended Uhuru and his Government for the invaluable support they are offering in the region in terms of leadership, peace and humanitarian assistance to refugees and pledged full support for Jubilee.

Similar sentiments were echoed by the World Bank President who also committed to helping Uhuru realize devolution dreams in terms of expertise and resources.

“I am extremely encouraged by Uhuru’s leadership in Kenya and the World Bank has engaged in Kenya’s development challenges and opportunities,” said the World Bank President.

“Uhuru’s commitment to entrenching devolution makes a meaningful contribution to development at the grassroots and I assure him of my commitment to bringing the best knowledge and solutions from all over the world to ensure success of devolution,” he continued.

Others who held similar views were
representatives of Africa Development Bank, EU, AU and Islamic Development Bank.

rowdy ODM youths and MCAs rough Up MAGERER at Orange House

Magerer Langat kicked and slapped several times by the rowdy Nairobi county representatives.

ODM Executive Director Magerer Langat being bundled out of the party's parliamentary group meeting on October 30, 2014.

Rowdy Nairobi county representatives on Thursday ejected and roughed up ODM Executive Director Magerer Langat from the party's parliamentary group meeting.

Initial reports indicate the MCAs were irked by Mr Langat's claims that “the party is dead” and that its leader, Mr Raila Odinga, was “old” and should resign".

The MCAs claimed that Mr Lang'at was a mole of the Jubilee coalition.
Mr Langat was kicked and slapped several times by the MCAs, who were led by ODM Majority Leader Mr Elias Otieno.

The group also deflated Mr Langat’s car tyres.

“He said ODM party is dead and that the party leader should resign. Why then did he attend a meeting for a dead party?” posed Mr Otieno
soon after the drama was over.

“That is why as MCAs we have taken that action because our parliamentarians are asleep.

“Magerer Langat has been a liability to this party and doesn’t add any value to the party.
We don’t want to see him again here. If he wants to remain in the party he should do so as a member not an executive,” added the Kileleshwa ward representative.

Mr Langat was whisked to safety by police, who were stationed outside Orange House, the party's headquarters.

ODM acting Secretary-General Anyang' Nyong'o said the party would probe incident.

Trouble started when the MCAs forced themselves into a tent where the parliamentary group meeting was being chaired by Mr
Odinga.

They were joined by rowdy youths who were within the compound.

Like MUTAHI NGUNYI, LUO elders say RAILA has no chance; UHURU/ RUTO will beat him

The Luo Council of Elders has advised former Prime Minister Raila Odinga to retire from active politics and go back to Bondo because he has no chance of becoming the President of Kenya.
Speaking in Kisumu on Sunday, the
council’s splinter group, led by former Chairman Riaga Ogallo, said Raila Odinga has very slim chances of defeating President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, in 2017.

Riaga noted that Uhuru/ Ruto have made very significant political strides with their unique leadership style that is laced with development across the country and that it would be difficult for Raila to convince Kenyans otherwise.

“Uhuru/ Ruto have made huge political strides with their down-to-earth leadership style which has earned them support across the country. With this in mind together with development around the country, Raila Odinga has no chance,” said Riaga.

Similar sentiments had earlier been shared by renowned political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi who said the former PM had no chance of becoming the President of Kenya ever because generational change already took place with Uhuru/ Ruto and that no one will ever again opt to elect a dinosaur like Raila.

OMAR HASSAN swears to make RAILA ODINGA’s 2017 Presidential bid a nightmare

Wiper Party leaders and their Ford Kenyan counterparts in the Coastal region have condemned Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) over
its intent to make former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, a sole Presidential candidate under CORD in 2017.

Speaking yesterday, Mombasa Senator Omar Hassan, who is also a Wiper legislator, and the Deputy Chairman of Ford Kenya in the region, Joel Ruhu, faulted the move by ODM legislators to have Raila Odinga as an automatic CORD torchbearer in 2017 saying the three CORD principals must undergo nomination.

The two leaders noted that already, their party boses, former Vice President Kalonzo Musyoka (Wiper) and Moses Wetangula (Ford Kenya) have made it abundantly clear that they will not step down for Raila Odinga just like that but will have to beat them at the nominations to win the CORD ticket; otherwise, business will never be as usual in CORD.

They vowed to make Raila Odinga’s
Presidential bid a nightmare should ODM short-change them and give the former PM a direct CORD ticket to vie for Presidency in 2017.

RAILA ODINGA to go into hiding from tomorrow as UHURU visits LUO Nyanza for 3 days

As residents of Kisumu wait with anxiety for the three-day visit by President Uhuru Kenyatta beginning on Wednesday this week through to Friday, one man is likely not to be in town, let alone attend the functions.

A reliable source within the Orange
Democratic Movement (ODM) told The media that former Prime Minister Raila Odinga may go into hiding as Uhuru visits Nyanza and will never attend any of those functions despite the trip having been put off twice for him to be
present when the President visits.

The source further said Raila Odinga will be out of town – Kisumu - and will never be anywhere near there for the three days Uhuru will be in Luo Nyanza because he will be engaged elsewhere.

On Saturday, the former PM dismissed allegations that he was feeling uneasy about Uhuru’s planned tour, noting that Uhuru’s visit to Nyanza does not bother him at all because he can visit anytime he wants without necessarily accompanying him or having to be there when he visits.

RAILA ODINGA given the last warning and told to shut up over UHURU/ RUTO’s ICC cases

Former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, has been warned to stop commenting about the cases facing President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy, William Ruto, at the International Criminal Court (ICC).

Speaking yesterday at Moiben, Deputy President William Ruto’s URP legislators, led by Kericho Senator, Charles Keter, said it was former Prime Minister Raila Odinga who fixed Uhuru/ Ruto at The Hague and that he should stop shedding crocodile tears purporting to call on the ICC to terminate their cases swiftly.

“Why is Raila Odinga shedding crocodile tears calling on the ICC to terminate Uhuru/Ruto’s cases? Is he not the one who fixed them?” wondered Keter.

“We want to tell him that we don’t need his help to end Uhuru/ Ruto’s cases. In fact, he should shut up and stop commenting the cases,” he added.

Upon his return from the US and
Mozambique recently, Raila Odinga called on the ICC to terminate Uhuru/ Ruto’s cases swiftly saying the ICC cases do not benefit the Opposition in any way contrary to allegations by Jubilee that he’s using The Hague-based court to ascend to power through the backdoor.

24 year old Collins Okello has received quite the recognition for his portrait of President Uhuru in full military uniform.

He posted photos of the pencil art work on social media last week and is now on his way to State House to meet the Commander in Chief.

remembered it’s not.
It’s credited to a guy by the name Ferguson.

So between Collins and Ferguson, who nailed
it?

Is RAILA ODINGA a master of double speak? Currently conducting a harambee in Kisii

Last week former Prime Minister, Raila Odinga, called on Uhuru/ Ruto to ban harambees because the Jubilee Government is using them to bribe citizens, who support his referendum push.

When calling for the ban on Harambees, Raila said the Jubilee Government should instead increase money to the Counties to help citizens in development across the country.

But one week later after calling for this, the former PM is conducting a harambee in aid of the Lutheran Church in Bobasi constituency in Gusii land.

Raila, who is accompanied by Kisii Governor, James Ongwae, is presiding over the harambee despite calling Deputy President, William Ruto, to stop fund raisers arguing that he is using them to enrich himself.

This also comes at a time the Ethics and Anti Corruption Commission (EACC) has raised a red flag over how politicians and state officers are misusing public funds through harambees.

Is Raila among politicians who preach water and drink wine or is he a master of double speak?

President Uhuru Kenyatta blasts CORD over land claims, Ruto demands apology

Kilifi, Kenya: President Uhuru Kenyatta revisited the ongoing debate on recent land scandals, accusing the Opposition of trying to tarnish his government as his deputy William.Ruto threatened legal action.

The President said Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) leaders are out to gain popularity by raising unwarranted issues and
are applying divisive politics to remain relevant instead of preaching peace and unity.

Uhuru spoke as his Deputy William Ruto demanded retraction of ‘malicious’ statements that CORD leaders have been issuing linking
him to the Karen land saga in Nairobi or else they meet him in court.

The DP singled out Cord leaders.Johnstone Muthama, Elizabeth Ongoro, James Orengo, UDF Senator Boni Khalwale and MP Junet Mohamed.

While addressing a crowd at Karisa Grounds in Kilifi, Uhuru said CORD leadership could not appreciate anything good done by his government but keeps on accusing it to gain political mileage.

“There are some leaders in this country who will never praise my government for the good things but will keep on blasting it so that they can get sympathy from Kenyans,” he said.

On Wednesday, during a press conference after his return from a trip abroad, former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, criticised the Jubilee
government on a number of issues, and called for mixed presidential and parliamentary system of government. But Friday, the President said his government is committed to addressing the squatter problem at the Coast and other regions and told Cord leaders not to interfere with the
process. Uhuru had visited Kenya Medical Research Institute in Kilifi where he officially opened a research training facility before
joining the staff to celebrate their 25th year anniversary.

Ruto, through his lawyer, Kioko Kilukumi and Company Advocates, said those who mentioned him adversely in the 135 acres Karen land saga must apologise. The Opposition claimed that senior officials in the Jubilee government are beneficiaries of the land saga.
Personal gain But in letters sent to each leader, dated October 23, 2014; Ruto distances himself from
the scandal and is demanding an apology from his accusers in the next seven days. Failure to which he will sue them for damages. Says the letter; “Our client’s attention has been drawn to a press statement you signed and issued on October 16, 2014.”

The statement by CORD stated that “high ranking personalities in the Jubilee Administration” have grabbed a parcel of land situated in Karen, Nairobi. It stated that the
land in question is public land irregularly allocated further asserting that ‘Kenyans have watched helplessly as the tyranny of numbers pillaged public resources and abused power for
personal gain under the superintendence of President Uhuru Kenyatta and his deputy
William Ruto’.

Ruto’s lawyer stated: “Our instructions are that the contents of the statement are false, untrue
and malicious. The contents of the statement are factually incorrect. Our client neither owns a single inch of the land in question nor is he involved in any matter whatsoever with the disputed parcel of land.”

“It is our instruction that the substance and purport of the statement was calculated and designed to be understood by members of the public that our client was a land grabber, corrupt and an individual with an insatiable appetite for public land which drives him to abuse state power for personal gain. We
reiterate therefore that the contents of the statement were extremely malicious, defamatory and intended to soil, tarnish and
malign our client’s standing and reputation as Deputy President,” said the lawyer.

He argues that as a result of publication and broadcast of the statement, their client, Ruto, has been greatly injured in his credit, status and reputation, as well as exposed to hatred, ridicule contempt, humiliation and agony.
But Suna East MP Junet Mohamed remains defiant despite the threat of legal action: “I will not issue any apology because there is no need
for one. Let us meet in court.”

A section of Cord leaders was expected to appear before the Ethics and Anti Corruption
Commission (EACC) this week to give evidence they say will back their claims on the alleged
beneficiaries of the Karen land. They however failed to show up as earlier anticipated. President Uhuru has warned leaders against
making unsubstantiated claims on the matter.

Speaking in Kilifi Friday, Uhuru who was accompanied by the Cabinet Secretary for Health James Macharia said elected leaders
need to work together and foster development.
